Default

One church leader knew what they needed to do regarding being the chief inviter in their church but pressure of work made him revert to his default position. The default position of a church leader can be tackling the urgent and important things, such as pressing pastoral issues. Urgent and important issues give us a sense of accomplishment at times. But we often don’t spend time with the mature people in our congregations who are not inviting or in mission. This is important but not urgent. This does not press on us. So today invite a mature member of your congregation to invite someone to take a closer look at Christ and his church.
