Touting for Business
Touting is an attempt to sell (something), typically by a direct or persistent approach. Church Leader’s sometimes don’t invite because they don’t want to be seen as touting for business. Church Leaders who have this thought pattern, maybe thinking that the person who they invite might eventually end up paying their wages. Or the person they invite is being invited to watch them lead on a Sunday. Touting is an attitude of the heart, but inviting because Jesus has said “Go into all the world and make disciples,” is another attitude of the heart. Let’s watch our inner thinking and invite someone today to take a closer look at Christ and his church.
