Shalom
The Hebrew word, Shalom, implies more than an absence of violence and conflict. It means well-being, health, security and rest. As we go into mission we can discover fears in our lives, fear of rejection, fear of not knowing the answer to a difficult question someone might ask. Mission gives us an opportunity to discover that God is with us as we go towards our fears. When we deal with our fears, we are dealing with a major barrier to finding Shalom .
