Keeping up appearances in Invitation
Another reason that we don’t invite people is “We don’t invite people who look like they are living well and successfully.” We don’t think that they need God! We doubt the relevance or power of the gospel for their lives. It is a good job that God looks on the inward appearance rather than our propensity to look on the outward appearance. Consider someone today who appears to be living well and invite them to take a closer look at Christ and his church.
