God sent them home
You can imagine Gideon ringing his mum from his mobile phone. I had 22,000 men to face the Midianites, but God keeps sending men home and I only have 300 left! I can imagine his mum saying, God plus one is always a majority. Church Leaders tell me that I can see your initiative working in that church across the street, but you should see the state of my church! There is a spiritual principle in the story of Gideon of God using cowards and clay pots which is also seen in the story of the loaves and fishes where Jesus multiples the few to provide for all. The principle is that you work with what God has given you. Encourage your congregation to invite someone today to take a closer look at Christ and his church and even if only a few do it, rejoice and be glad for God is with you.
