Unrealistic Mission Thinking
We can become so unrealistic in our mission thinking, we think we can go from zero to hundred in one conversation and if we don’t we give up. Perhaps we have been overawed by 3,000 people being added to the church in one day, or Saul’s sudden conversation on the road to Damascus. But both the 3,000 and Saul had been prepared in advance by God. It might be helpful to think of God conversations through the growth of a plant. With plants you don’t just plant and then the flower appears, there is a process. First the seed, then the blade, then the flower. Our thinking is unrealistic if we don’t bear that in mind as we have our God conversations. So invite someone today into another conversation about God and get them to take a closer look at Christ and his church.
