Laugh it off

I was asked recently “How can I invite a friend in such a way that if they say no, I will be able to laugh it off?” To laugh it off is to make yourself laugh about something unpleasant in order to make it seem less important or serious. In an invitation seminar I know I am facing people who have tried to laugh off their friends remarks or rejection of an invitation to look at Christ, but they have been hurt. One lady called it a dagger to the heart. Jesus said that you will meet people who will reject you but they also reject God, but his advice was that you need to wipe the dust of that rejection from the feet and move on to the next invitation. Invite someone today to take a closer look at Christ and his church.
