Inviting people to stay

I have never met anybody that admits to going to an unwelcoming church, but I have met people who apparently go to welcoming churches. But all my analysis shows that 90 percent of invited guests don’t stay. So how welcoming can we be? One of the tools I recommend is to go and recruit a mystery worshipper from your community, someone who doesn’t got to church and ask them to do you a favour. Would they visit your church like a mystery shopper and answer a number of questions such as What was good about the visit to the church? What was not so good? We need to catch ourselves being unwelcoming (just like a speed camera takes a photo of a speeding car). We also need to catch a picture of what is good about our church. Invite someone today to take a closer look at Christ and his church.
