Invite yourself
One church leader told me that when they went to their first training parish, the vicar asked them to go to see people in the community, by knocking on the door and inviting themselves in for a cup of tea. Still to this day the church leader came remember the terror of that exercise! Knocking on the door of someone you didn’t know and inviting yourself in for a cuppa, followed by inviting them to a church activity. Years later that church leader was delighted to see one of the people who answered the door that day walking with Christ and a transformed person as a result. Don’t let something out of your comfort zone stop you. Invite someone to take a closer look at Christ and his church.
