Link in the chain
I was speaking to someone working for a Christian agency who helps people in debt. In sorting out their financial worries, there is often an opportunity to bring the love of Christ to them. But once the process has finished this Christian debt worker has to leave them to go on to someone else. They have learnt that they are a link in the chain that is leading towards Christ. It is hard to leave them, but they have to trust that someone else will provide the next link in the chain, whilst they go on to be another link with another person. I think there is a sense of that process in Paul’s statement, I Paul planted, Apollos watered but it was God that gave the growth. Invite someone today to take a closer look at Christ and his church and maybe you will be a link in the chain leading towards Christ.
