Perfectly Imperfect Inviters
There is a phrase which Elijah uses which is similar to one I frequently hear in the area of invitation. Elijah said “I’m no better than my ancestors”. No one ever said he should be. He wasn’t superior he was just called. But somewhere along the line he got the ungodly belief “I should be better” into his head, so when he collapsed like a mere mortal he was devastated. Reluctant Inviters might say “I would be afraid that my life would not match up”. We are all a work in progress, not one of us has reached perfection! So invite someone today to take a closer look at Christ and his church and trust God with the results.
