Overcoming shyness through invitation
If someone wouldn’t say boo to a goose, they are shy and nervous. But where does the saying come from? It has been found that a goose is not scared by yelling “BOO” to it, for that sound is not recognized by the goose. Being that the sound BOO resonates at 540 Hz, and the hearing range for a goose is only in the 600 Hz range. Some Christians are painfully shy but Jesus came to set us free of shyness. Writing to Timothy, Paul says” For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline”. Start to overcome your shyness by knowing that God is with you and invite someone to take a closer look at Christ and his church.
