Invitational Grace
Psychologists tell us that we behave, think, and react because of some previous experience. They suggest that growth or paralysis takes place during the downs. This backs up the saying that “adversity introduces a man or a woman to themselves”. I think all of us are self-made but only the successful will admit it! So have we been growing through adversity or become paralysed by the events? Until we handle our previous adverse event with grace it will stay in our face. We must not allow emotions to control us. Some of us can remember the last time we were rejected in invitation and it hurt our feelings. We need the grace of God to invite again. Invite someone today to take a closer look at Christ and his church.
