To shy away from invitation
Many of us shy away from areas we find challenging. We avoid having to deal with some unpleasant task; or avoid something that we dislike, fear, or do not feel confident about. But when we move towards the challenge, to tackle the unpleasant task, the thing we dislike and fear, as a result our confidence grows through engagement. The Apostle Paul warned Timothy of shyness, saying God didn’t give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power. Don’t put your head in the sand and shy away from invitation and invite someone today to take a closer look at Christ and his church.
