Invitation is it worth the effort?
We often today judge whether something is successful when we look at the amount of effort we put in, for the results that we get out. In the early days of Back to Church Sunday I used to ring church leaders to ask how things went? One memorable conversation went like this, “terrible”, I said” how do you mean terrible?” “We only had ten invited guests”, said the church leader, “that doesn’t sound terrible,” said I, “well only one has stayed, we are not doing it again next year!” They were basically saying it was too much effort. So what is the value of one invitation to you? Is it really worth the effort? Invite someone today to take a closer look at Christ and his church.
