Student stress and Invitation

Rates of serious mental illness among university students are drastically rising, and universities are struggling with how to respond to students who show symptoms. Potentially traumatic situations such as exams and dissertations, financial problems, family problems,  intimate and other relationship issues, and career related issues are leaving some students overwhelmed, exhausted, sad, lonely, hopeless and depressed. One strategy being pursued is the provision of comfort dogs to de-stress in some universities in the US. Stress of course is extreme fear and Christianity has the answer Invite a student today to take a closer look at Christ who says “Let not your heart be troubled” “Don’t be afraid.”
