Invite for an audience of one
Moses experienced what all leaders ultimately fear, rejection by the people they are called to lead. When he killed the Egyptian soldier and several times in the wilderness, his leadership was sorely tested. Aaron compromised his leadership by building a golden calf, but Moses played to an audience of one alone. How easy it is for all of us that lead, to play to the congregation, rather than God. When we as leaders resist God’s prompting and follow the crowd, the heart is stunted by lack of courage. If you are leader follow the prompting of God and invite your people to take a risk and invite someone today to take a closer look at Christ and his church.
