Invited to remember

Attention Deficit Disorder  (ADD) is characterized primarily by inattention, easy distractibility, disorganization, procrastination, and forgetfulness.  There seems to me to have been an incredible rise in the number of cases diagnosed around the world in the past few years. One’s heart goes out to person suffering and their family. Throughout the Old Testament God says over and over again, “be careful not to forget, do not forget the covenant, remember me. This appears not to be therefore a new phenomenon, the children of Israel had a very good forgetory! Story after story of losing their short term memory and then recovering it and returning to God, only again to lose it again! We must learn to focus and as James said  not forgetting what they have heard but doing it – they will be blessed in what they do.
