Risk Inviting

One of the major findings of my research around the world, is that the average Christian has a lack of self-worth. Because of this we don’t invite our friends to something that we love. We just won’t take the risk of being rejected. We have forgotten who we are. Apparently we are on a huge lump of rock travelling at 35,000 miles per hour around an exploding star. For that reason alone it is time to take some risks. But there is another reason we need to take the risk to invite and the story of Picasso’s mother helps me to focus the reason. Picasso’s mother said to him, ‘If you are a soldier, you will become a general. If you are a monk, you will become the Pope.’ Instead, I was a painter, and became Picasso. God tells you and me in Psalm 17, We are the apple of His eye.” In Deuteronomy 7:6, God tells us that we are “His treasured possession.” With a Heavenly Father like that, just think what we can become if we take the risk!
