Is it well with your Soul?
It is perfectly okay to be disappointed, it is never okay to be discouraged. Moments pass our path, as church leaders where we feel utterly alone and down. We have been rejected in some way. The congregation have just ignored our request to invite their friends. I want to say it is okay for people to say no to you. It is part and parcel of life. How do we practice courage to continue with an invitational vision when we are in a church that wants success without the pain of having to invite The key is that we must discipline our disappointment by accepting that we will face rejection, resistance and sabotage. But don’t be discouraged disappointment is temporary, discouragement has a longer and more lasting impact on our soul.
