Braced for disappointment in Invitation?
We brace ourselves for disappointment. They’ll say no. I’ll lose a friend over this. But there are some people who are serial inviters, They seem to be engaged in vulnerability Vulnerability is uncertainty, risk and emotional exposure. Serial Inviters use courage as their value. They don’t pretend that invitation hasn’t got the capacity to hurt, but they think it hurts worse to never have invited and to wonder what would have happened. They think that they might say yes, and they might gain a deeper relationship.
