Mission and Risk go together
We want mission but we have no tolerance for risk nowadays As Church Leaders We have to model taking risks and failing.I would challenge anyone to point to any act of church innovation that was not born of vulnerability, that was not born of putting an idea on a table that half the people in the room thought was stupid. That the other half questioned. You can look at Luther, Wesley, Booth, Wilberforce all people of God who took big risks and created alot of enemies.They were afraid and brave at the very same minute. I suggest ee feel most alive when we straggle the fear barrier. Fear and excitement is like a tightrope balancing act. Invitation gives us the opportunity to straggle the fear barrier and build our tolerance for risk which will enable the extension of the Kingdom of God.
